Enjoy Two Chardonnay’s this Summer from the Golan Heights Winery

The winemaker of Golan Heights Winery’s philosophy of scientific discipline and knowledge has elevated this winery to an international stage.

YardenWine

Yarden Blanc de Blancs 2008 is a very aromatic dry sparkling wine with bold lemon zest, tart green apples and an expression of flint and hints of fresh baked bread which is result of maintaining  the traditional method of producing sparkling wine. Enjoy with seafood dishes and creamy cheeses.

Yarden Chardonnay Odem Organic Garden 2014 is a bold and rich chardonnay with big flavors of ripe tropical fruits, pear and  mouthwatering acidity that reminds me of cutting a fresh juicy lemon. These concentrated flavors linger for a long finish. Enjoy with roasted salmon or creamy pastas.

Winemaker Victor Schoenfeld is one of Israel’s most influential winemakers. He graduated from UC Davis in 1988 with a degree in enology and his work in several California wineries and a champagne house gave him the expertise to produce high quality wines with a sense of place.

Situated in the northeast corner of Israel, the Golan Heights is a high elevation volcanic plateau characterized by distinct soil types, elevation and altitudes that support a range of varieties and styles.  Volcanic basaltic soil, varied topography and cool high-altitude climate is an ideal region for growing a range of classic high-quality wine varieties.
