My Paella Travels to Fredericksburg for a Spooky Paella Party!

Celebrate with Paella infused with the spirit of Halloween!

A sweltering Texas summer finally gave up the ghost and made way for cool and crisp fall evenings. The temperatures are always a few degrees cooler in the Texas Hill Country which created a perfect fall evening for celebrating a birthday with a spooky paella for a private party in Fredericksburg. Music by Steven Curd, a pleasant evening and a succulent paella cooked before your eyes is all you need for a perfect evening anywhere!

My paellas have become increasingly popular after moving back to the Austin area over a year ago. I love creating paellas that reflect Texas and it’s culture. There are so many amazing local ingredients including access to the freshest seafood around that my Texas-inspired paellas just naturally followed.

Prepping and cooking onsite gives guests a chance to watch the paella come to fruition before their eyes!

My compadre and friend Suzy is my sous chef!

I am such a fan of Steven Curd’s music!

What a treat! Guests were serenaded to the smooth tunes of Steven Curd while enjoying paella and wine. Steven, a local musician from San Antonio. You will often catch him singing at Signor Vineyards on the 290 Texas Wine Trail. Check out his website and Instagram for details.

Texas Tempranillos are on the rise in the Texas Wine Country, often grown in the Texas High Plains. Local winery Ab Astris’ Tempranillo was one of the wines served this night and WOW it hit the perfect-pairing spot! Grab a bottle while you can for your paella, smoked brisket or any of your favorite intensely flavored fall meals.
