The intimate Panel Discussions will foster engaging conversations about what inspires some of the biggest stars in the industry, while the Tasting Sessions will provide an interactive, thirst-quenching festival experience. Enjoy listening and laughing to stories shared from your favorite chefs. These are some of my favorite moments at the festival.

Saturday Panel Discussions and Tasting Sessions

Moderator Maneet Chauhan (Chauhan Ale & Masala House) joins panelists Tony Mantuano (Spiaggia), Deb Paquette (Etch Restaurant) and Levon Wallace (Cochon Butcher) to discuss Tasty Travels. This spirited conversation will touch on these chefs’ favorite travel destinations for great food, and cities they have on their bucket lists for a killer meals and to broaden their culinary horizons.

Listen in as Shep Gordon (talent manager, Hollywood film agent, producer & author of forthcoming memoir, They Call Me Supermensch), who is largely considered the godfather of celebrity chefs, and Jonathan Waxman (Adele’s, Bajo Sexto Taco, Barbuto, Brezza Cucina, Jams & Waxman’s SF), nicknamed the Obi Wan Kenobi of the culinary world, swap truth-is-stranger-than-fiction stories about Creating the Celebrity Chef.

Sunday Panel Discussions and Tasting Sessions

Panel discussions continue on Sunday, September 18, with an all-star roster of pitmasters and meat masters taking cues from one another. Join moderator Billy Durney (Hometown Bar-B-Que), Carey Bringle (Peg Leg Porker), Chris Carter & James Peisker (Porter Road Butcher) and Pat Martin (Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint) to discuss the virtues of Slow + Low cooking.

Don’t miss the opportunity to hear about harrowing but often-hilarious Kitchen Disasters with Mashama Bailey (The Grey), Matt Bolus (The 404 Kitchen) and Ludo Lefebvre (Trois Mec, Petit Trois, Trois Familia, LudoBird), moderated by Sarah Gavigan (Little Octopus, Otaku Ramen, Pop Nashville).

Tasting Sessions:
The Tasting Sessions will provide an interactive presentation and hands-on sampling of spirits and cocktails from leading experts from around the country on the festival grounds at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park.

Hendrick’s Gin will be back by popular demand to present A Most Curious & Peculiar Cocktail Academy. Join brand ambassador Fred Parent as he explains the unusual gin distillation process and delights guests with a hands-on academy of cocktail concoctions.

Explore the versatility of bitters in cooking and cocktails with Angostura Brand Ambassador, David Delaney Jr., at the Angostura Bitters’ Not So Old-Fashioned tasting session and conclude with a discovery of Florida culinary prowess as you Savor South Walton.
