From the Mendoza region in Argentina, this elegant Malbec Antucura 2012 emerges as a beautiful velvety, medium-bodied and expressive wine with a burst of fresh and juicy strawberries. A touch of juicy and tart blackberries with a peppery finish shows a pure expression of the Malbec varietal. The balance of acidity, fruitiness and a hint of black pepper and aromas of floral white flowers makes it a great wine for pairing, too.

Although the Malbec grape was once only a blending grape in Bordeaux, it has come into its own today as a very popular wine that is enjoyed by everyone for sipping or pairings.

Antucura Malbec 2012 is an all-weather wine. Drink now with hearty meals of Osso Bucco or oven roasted meats of beef and chicken. As the weather gets warmer Antucura 2012 will be just the wine for grilled burgers, steaks and ribs.

Lisa’s Wine Pairings: Antucura Malbec 2012 with rich and succulent Veal Osso Bucco in a veal and port demi-glace on top of creamy, mashed cauliflower with goat cheese and roasted garlic. This is lovely meal for any week night dinner or an elegant weekend dinner with friends.
