Only Three Restaurants in Tennessee have been Awarded this Level which is a huge honor for 1808 Grille!
Wine Spectator announced today that 1808 Grille at the Hutton Hotel has earned the prestigious Best of Award of Excellence. This is the first Best of Award of Excellence honor for 1808 Grille; the restaurant has earned the Award of Excellence for the past seven years. 1808 Grille is one of only three Tennessee restaurants earning the award in 2016.

Last year, I wrote an article about their fabulous wine program at 1808 Grille. They strive to have a glass or bottle of wine to suit every palate. The wines by the glass menu is extensive and to be envied and enjoyed by all! The dining experience is an exquisite culinary experience with knowledgable staff to assist with dinner and wine pairings.
Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand Award—with 2,414; 1,093; and 88 winners this year in each respective category.

This year’s Best of Award of Excellence was awarded to restaurants with wine lists that display excellent breadth across multiple winegrowing regions and/or significant vertical depth of top producers, along with superior presentation.
