Everyday should be a celebration, especially during the holiday season. All my guests are greeted with a cool, crisp glass of bubbly to begin any celebration with sparkle!  And, you don’t have to pour a French champagne to celebrate!

Ferrari Perle 2007 is an elegant and complex sparkling Chardonnay produced by the Lunelli family vineyards on the slopes of the Trentino mountains. Italy produces some of the countries most prestigious chardonnay grapes in the areas most suited to the production of Trentodoc making them true sparkling wines from the mountains of Italy. The altitude consistently influences the acidity of the grapes during the period between ripening and harvest creating an elegant sparkling wine with aromatic richness of extraordinary expressiveness.

Pairing with Food

Here are two dishes that paired well with this fabulous sparkling wine. My friends were thrilled!

With the first sip, you will experience the aromas and round, rich flavors of crisp apples, peaches, almonds and citrus bursting from the fine bubbles. Your mouth will water from the natural acidity of the chardonnay grapes and the toasty aromas resulting from the long ageing on the yeasts.

The complex flavors and mouthwatering citrusy acidity are a perfect match with many fresh shellfish dishes. Enjoy each sip with a each bite of fresh lump crabmeat and the piquant flavors of capers, tart champagne vinaigrette with a touch of fresh mint leaves atop a buttery toasted crostini. Bring on the Ferrari Perle 2007 to pair with this spicy Thai dish with succulent mussels and shrimp in a warm and spicy coconut and red curry broth.
